Book 14: Einarr and The Razing of the North
Afterword – Alfvin – The firstborn son of Einarr and Runa. He is a slender child from a young age, and his father elects to train him primarily in the spear and the staff. As Einarr promised, at the age of eight he leaves his father’s Hold and travels to Attilsund to study runes and divination under […]
14.38 – Denouement – Author’s Note: Mea Culpa, Mea Culpa, Mea Maxima Culpa. This should have been posted months ago. Between March and June of this year, we moved twice – once halfway around the world – and when I wasn’t actively involved in packing/unpacking, I suddenly had the Young Master at home all the time, rather than at […]

Two Weeks Running – Hi all. Many apologies, especially since this is two weeks in a row. Our regularly scheduled chapter of Einarr and the Razing of the North will be delayed. My family and I are in the process of returning to the mainland US from the territories, and, not to put too fine a point on it, […]
14.34 – Before Dawn – Einarr dove into a column of benches and kept low, counting on their shelter to at least keep himself from being squeezed to death. It could still crush him, right along with the benches, of course, but some cover was better than no cover here. Naudrek was right behind him. “So once we get to […]
No post today. Post on Tuesday. – Hi all. Many apologies. Our regularly scheduled chapter of Einarr and the Razing of the North will instead be delayed until the normal time next Tuesday. My family and I are in the process of returning to the mainland US from the territories, and the time I would have ordinarily spent writing tonight was instead […]
14.33 – Shattered – As one, the six men rushed for the flesh puppet that had been the high priest of the demigod. In rapid succession their blades slashed through his body, and the flesh puppet fell to the vines beneath their feet, in enough pieces that it was hard to tell he had once been human. The energy […]
14.32 – Fire on the Waves – Stigander stood in the center of the Vidofnir’s deck, his hands pressed against his knees, as he caught his breath. Behind him, Reki sang a Song of Healing, and although he was not terribly wounded he felt the innumberable cuts and strains of a hard-fought battle mending. He had fallen back with Bardr over his […]
Book 13: Einarr and the Demon of Nilthiad
13.28 – Homecoming – Author’s Note: This marks the end of Book 13. Book 14 will begin on 12/7/2021. When the Villgås finally returned to Breidelstein harbor, almost six months after its departure, they were met by a cheering mass of people on the docks – including, this time, Stigander himself. Einarr and Runa stood on the deck as […]
13.27 – Farewells – No matter what else he wanted to say about them, the svartdvergr knew how to throw a party. One of the mead halls in the city had opened its doors to the Smiths and their allies, and by the time Einarr arrived with his crew it was already full to bursting and raucous with celebration. […]
13.26 – Aftermath – Einarr knelt, his eyes half-lidded, his weight supported by Sinmora’s blade standing upright in the ground of Myrkheimr, panting. He no longer heard the sounds of battle, and the smell of charred squid had replaced the smell of seawater. Therefore, they must have won. Runa’s plan must have worked, or he was certain they would […]
13.25 – Uncommon Working – To say that Einarr was surprised when an arrow stuck in the ground by his boot was putting it mildly: none of the dvergr, thus far, had come so close to striking an ally. Then he noticed the strip of linen tied just ahead of the fletching. He looked up: Runa, he saw, was hurrying […]
13.24 – Outside Perspective – Runa had intended to stay away – she really had. Only, a couple hours after they left, a feeling of impending doom had fallen over her shoulders that she could not shake. It had been simple to sneak out. The proprietress had many customers, and as she was assisting one group Runa had tossed a […]
13.23 – Shifting Tides – Jorir and Thjofgrir both cursed, one from either side of where Einarr stood, now soaking wet with seawater. Hacking this thing to bits was evidently not the way to banish it back to the other side of that rift. Only, Einarr was the only sorcerer they had, and he was well aware of his fast-approaching […]
13.22 – Rune Tactics – Movement caught Einarr’s eye from down below. Something was headed his way, and it bore only a vague resemblance to a man. It wasn’t going to make it in time to keep him from testing his stone, though. He gripped the carved bit of shale and willed lightning to strike the two figures standing atop […]
13.21 – Kraken Father – The creature shrieked, and even as Einarr thought his eardrums would burst he found his feet unfrozen from the ground. Hadn’t he just been running? The nightmare before them coiled its tail in a puddle of seawater as it launched out about itself, striking anything that came within reach and devouring it, if it happened […]
13.20 – Demon’s Advent – “This way,” Jorir said and turned to lead them all further up the mountain. Einarr turned to look back at the chaos they left in their wake. It had taken some real effort to ensure the acolytes hadn’t taken out a batch lot of dvergr whose only crime was in keeping to the true gods. […]
13.19 – The Auspicious Day – A week passed, and Einarr’s sacrifice made no difference in the number of people brought in by the Thane’s men. No one who went in ever came out. But, at the end of the week, the “auspicious day” was set. Those who remained on the outside would be ready in plenty of time. When the […]

May you have a safe delivery and a healthy baby! Happy Mother’s Day!! <3
obviously like your web-site but you need to check the spelling on quite a
few of your posts. Many of them are rife with spelling problems and I find it very bothersome to tell the truth nevertheless I’ll certainly
come back again.
While I welcome typo corrections, a general statement such as this is unhelpful. What errors are you seeing?
