    While I disagree with the proposed law, the linked article does seem to use straw man arguments, which aren’t particularly effective at doing anything beyond polarising people

    I think you and I work from different understandings of what the Straw Man fallacy is. However, much of his leg work is encapsulated in the Brandeis quote, and in the statement that “the answer to ‘bad’ speech is more speech.”
